The mentoring model offers a mutual learning opportunity for developing individual knowledge and skills, and increases opportunities for building networks across organisations..Key objectives include developing leadership at all levels, improving professional practice and development, and enhancing staff satisfaction and succession opportunities. Studies indicate that the potential benefits for individuals and organisations can also include:

  • discovery and utilisation of talents
  • learning and behaviour change
  • fostering of shared values
  • development of skills and knowledge relevant to the organisation
  • retention of quality staff
  • increased productivity and performance

Program facilitation is provided by Linda Betts, a consultant with extensive experience in mentoring programs. Administrative support and co-ordination of the program will be provided by CAVAL, and advised by a Mentoring Program Reference Group.
